Our mission
Texas hasn't legalized online sports betting, which leaves Texans navigating a confusing offshore market full of marketing hype. Our job is to cut through it. We test the sportsbooks that accept Texas players ourselves — opening accounts, funding them, placing real bets, and timing real withdrawals — so our rankings reflect how the books actually behave, not how they advertise.
How we test & rank
Every sportsbook we cover is scored across five weighted criteria — Texas acceptance & reliability, payout speed, odds & line quality, bonus value & fairness, and market depth — and re-verified monthly. Figures are sourced and dated, never invented. You can read the full breakdown on our How We Rate page.
Who writes this
Our Texas coverage is led by Garrett Holloway, a Houston-based sports betting analyst who tracks legalization efforts and tests offshore sportsbook payouts firsthand. Meet the expert and see his areas of focus on the author page.
How we make money
This site is free to read. We earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up through some of the links on our pages. That revenue funds the testing — but it never influences our rankings, scores, or which books make the list, and it never changes the price you pay. Brands cannot buy a better position. Rankings are set by the criteria above, applied consistently.
Editorial independence
Recommendations are editorial decisions made independently of any commercial relationship. When a bonus, payout time, or acceptance policy changes, we update the page — and each page carries a visible "last updated" date so you know how current it is.
Responsible gambling
Betting should be entertainment, never a way to make money or chase losses. You must be of legal age to gamble in your jurisdiction. If gambling stops being fun, help is available and confidential:
- National Problem Gambling Helpline: call or text 1-800-522-4700 (24/7).
- 1-800-GAMBLER — support and resources.
- Texas Council on Problem Gambling — state resources and treatment referrals.
