Houston Museum of Natural Science

About the Greet:

You will need to pay the Museum’s general admission fee (which we can discuss) which gets you into all the permanent exhibit halls: Ancient Egypt, Paleontology, Faberge, Gems & Minerals, Gem Vault, TX Wildlife & Coastal Ecology, Earth Forum, Malacology, African Wildlife, Energy, The Americas, and Chemistry. I suggest that you check out their website (www.hmns.org) and decide which Halls you would prefer visiting and how much time you are willing to spend because you could literally spend days there. We can discuss your choices and go from there. I will spend several hours touring you and your family/friends and can make suggestions if you wish. There is a MacDonalds in the Museum and a fun “Taco Shop” two blocks away if you want to work around lunch. There is a Metro Rail stop a few blocks away and a parking garage next door. Free Thursdays 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Save 48% with “CityPASS”.

About Me:

Hi, I'm Joy and I've lived in Houston since probably before you were born!!! And I worked in Downtown Houston from 1993 until I retired at the end of 2014, so am very familiar with most areas of Houston, although I live in one of the suburban towns. I love to show off our great city and hope you'll join me for an adventure in our wonderful Museum District. I am a trained volunteer docent at HMNS and would love to show you my favorite museum.
