About the Greet:
During this Greet we will take a relaxing stroll down the tree-canopied esplanade along Heights Blvd. so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring some water if it’s a warm day. Along the way we will talk about the Heights’ rich history, its laid back culture, and its many historic buildings and houses which date back to the early 1900’s. We may even view a few unusual sculptures on our walk if we are lucky. Once we reach the end of the esplanade, we may venture onto 19th Street to relax over a cup of latte and window shop or browse through an antique shop, art gallery, or boutique. On the way back we can extend the walk a bit and view the World War 11 memorial (small but unique) if you so choose; it’s up to you. I aim to please so I will definitely gear the walk to your interests and needs. I look forward to meeting you and to sharing my favorite neighborhood in Houston.
Hi, I'm Kathy and I've lived in Houston for the past 35 years. Throughout those years I've lived in various parts of our great city, but always my favorite intown, weekly getaway has been the Heights, one of Houston's oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods. I just love sitting outside at my favorite coffee shops, reading a book or contemplating life. And to top off my visit I always take a relaxing stroll under the trees along Historic Heights Blvd. I'd love for you to join me whenever you can; I think you'll love it (I've never met a person who didn't)!
