Explore Discovery Green and experience much more than open green space in downtown Houston. This 12-acre urban park and Houston landmark was just named one of America’s coolest parks by Travel & Leisure Magazine. The Park includes restaurants, a playground, jogging trail, picnic area, lake with remote-controlled sailboats, mist tree, dog runs, a children’s water spout area and much more. Operating as a non-profit organization, Discovery Green raises needed funds for services and programs that are free to the public. Special events are scheduled regularly and include concerts, art shows, farmer’s market, yoga, dance lessons and many programs for children of all ages.
